Mental Health First Aid

For any member of staff who wants to become a Mental Health First Aider for their organisation — the first point of contact for a colleague experiencing a mental health issue or crisis. No previous experience or qualification is needed.

What you'll learn

  • Understand what mental health is, and how to challenge stigma in the workplace
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression and stress
  • Start a supportive, non-judgemental conversation with a colleague who is struggling
  • Use a practical action plan for supporting someone in a mental health crisis
  • Understand your own wellbeing and self-care as a Mental Health First Aider
  • Know where and how to signpost colleagues to further help and professional support
